Posted - 08 September 2009 : 19:22:50 got a NT IPA should finish end of tax year,i could have chance of taking redundancy just before this ends ,if i am discharged by then,could any redundancy payment be affected by the nt ipa -cheers

Posted - 09 September 2009 : 07:45:33 Nil Tax. This means that you don't pay any income tax but would pay it to the OR instead and they would use it to pay your creditors.

Posted - 08 September 2009 : 19:50:05 If you have a redundancy payment before you are discharged this would be considered a windfall and at least part of it would be taken by the OR.
If you have been discharged then the NT IPA only affects your tax so windfalls are not included. The NT IPA would automatically end when you left your employer and took redundancy.
