Posted - 16 September 2009 : 16:06:47 Hi
Just had call from OR seemed to go ok, she went through my form asked a few questions bout the sale of our house 2 years ago and how we spent the equity, which was mostly spent on paying debts in an effort to ease situation!!!! She seems happy with everything and said she wpould send forms for me to sign but didnt need anymore info!!! Is that it??? Is it all really done???
I am to be put on nil tax code and have been told to put the amount on one side ready when the payments get set up...question is... When asked the tax i pay I put down 190.00 which is what I paid on my last payslip, so she has told me that i have to pay that amount. Iam currently on Mat leave so at present on a reduced wage, when i go back i will have more money although this will be offset with childcare costs so wont actually have any more disposible income, but i asume will pay more tax, but wont know how much more cause it wont say on payslip, do i still pay the 190.00 the OR has asked for or will the tax office contact them with the amount I should pay? thanks for any advice!! |

Posted - 24 September 2009 : 10:31:23 From what you are saying, it does sound as if the OR has completed your interview and decided what action should be taken.
With regard to the income payments arrangement, you will have to inform the OR that you are now on maternity leave and your income has decreased. Your tax has decreased and you can only pay the OR what you can afford. You make contributions for three years or until your circumstances change.
Hope this helps and please telephone the OR a soon as possible.
