Posted - 20 September 2009 : 13:12:07 Do you mean getting a mortgage after discharge? Your creditors that were included in your BR will not drop off your credit file until 6 yrs have passed from the date you were BR so getting a mortgage during this time will be difficult without a high deposit and even then you will still probably have to pay a higher rate of interest.
After the 6 yrs you will probably still need a good deposit as all mortgage companies ask whether you have ever been declared BR.
