Posted - 05 October 2009 : 18:04:21 In the circumstances that Kallis describes you can apply to the court for a stay of publication (I think). If this is granted your details won't be in the paper, and although they will still be on the insolvency register some of the identifying information will be removed.
Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Posted - 05 October 2009 : 17:48:11 I think the only time that you can ask for details to be witheld from the register is if you may be in danger from a violent ex partner, or if your job is such that your details shouldn't be published.

It tends not to be in local press these days - but it will be in the London Gazette and on the Insolvency Register - all accessible to one and all - As far as I am aware you can not be exempt as it is a public mattter
Good luck anyway - we have all been there and survived and I am sure you will be OK
