Posted - 12 October 2009 : 15:22:59 hi after going br in july i received a ipa form for zero tax code.i spoke to receiver and said that i am self employed.i work mostly for 1 company and am in the CIS scheme and so stopped 20% everyweek.she told me to sign it and will take advise so i sent it off with a letter explaining situation.i received today the form back signed by or and am now with moon beaver. can anyone tell me if this sounds right as i could work for someone different everyday and get stoppped the 20%.if i dont work i dont get paid thanks for any help |

Posted - 19 October 2009 : 20:30:34 today received contact letter from moonbeaver about going on 0 tax code.i phoned them and someone was phoning me back within 1 hr.but i have had no phone call .do they issue 1 letter for the code because next week i am working for 4 different firms.i cant get my head around this thanksquote: Originally posted by mitsu8

ask the OR for a copy of the letter saying you will go onto a 0 tax code, you have aright to see anything on you file

Posted - 13 October 2009 : 14:09:02 I must admit that it is unusual for an IPA to be set up taking your tax contributions as you are self employed. As you pointed out, the sum could change each month. However make sure that you only pay the inome tax element of your income to the OR and if you don't work in any month you must tell the Official Receiver. Moon Beever are the solicitors involved.
