Posted - 15 October 2009 : 13:04:51 Hi there. Myself and my husband were made bankrupt on 28th Sept this year. Have not been paying the mortgage. We have about £1450 arrears and today we got a letter stating they intend to instruct their solicitors to commence possession. The OR told us on our telephone interview that this was our chance to start again and advised us to save money to rent. Do I need to tell the OR about the letter that we have received. Will the mortgage arrears be on the BR?? I have contacted the council who havent replied back to me about getting a place with them,we have filled out various housing forms. we have 4 children. thanks |

Posted - 16 October 2009 : 08:42:45 We kept getting phone calls but not on the landline, they phoned my husbands mobile while at work. We have had a couple of letters but they have been informed by us of our situation. Yesterday we got a letter saying they were instructing their solicitors for possession. Deb |

Posted - 16 October 2009 : 08:38:07 Hi I went BR in Feb this year and are still paying my mortgage but I have about £16,000 neg eq in my house. I am thinking of not paying my mortgage to save up for a rental deposit. Did the Building society keep phoning you or was it all done by post, I am worried that all the phone calls will start again and I wouldn't know what to say.

Posted - 15 October 2009 : 14:36:24 If you put the mortgage details on the SOA then the arrears and any shortfall will be included in the BR. There isn't any need to tell the OR about the repossession letter but when you move you should inform the OR of your new contact details and you may have to complete a new I&E as your income/expenditure may have changed. |
