I would be grateful for some advise - I am just filling in my bankruptcy form, in preparation for my day in court on the 10th November. My question is as follow with regards to my partner income. One of the reasons I have had to file for bankruptcy is that my partner who is self employer ( as well as bring up to children) has lost 70% of her income, over the last 7 months we have ridden the storm by there has been no recovery in her financial position. Due to this now all our saving have now gone and as I am covering all the Household expenditure myself and now I can not cover my credit commitment. My wife earn now £500 per month ( down from £1800) out of the £500 when she has covered he creditor bills she is left with £140 which she puts in to the household pot. What should I up done on the bankruptcy form the £140 or should my wife file for bankruptcy too , to show the OR that she is making efforts to contribution to the household. Can anyone advise please.

The OR cannot force your wife to contribute to the household expenses. It is you that is declaring BR so the OR has control over your finances but not your wife's so just put down what you wife can afford. If the OR questions this just mention what you have on here (i.e. income of £500, creditor bills of £360 so £140 over) and there won't be a problem.
