Posted - 20 October 2009 : 21:32:39 I am currently unemployed and due to go bankrupt on Friday. Next week i am hoping to be offered a job and start 2nd November. As i will be Bankrupt by then, will my new employer be advised?

Posted - 21 October 2009 : 08:45:06 Your new employer will not be advised - no employer is informed by the OR, but what may happen is that you will go on a BR tax code (any tax you would normally pay from your salary to the Inland Revenue - gets paid the the OR via and Income Payments Order- IPO) you will receive the whole of your salary and then have an IPO set up for you to pay the OR the portion of your money which would normally have been deducted for tax. This takes place until the end of the tax year - next March. Your OR will fully explain/discuss this with you, if this is put in place.
