Posted - 02 November 2009 : 13:44:10 1 week bankrupt letter from C/C providor - what does this mean??? Just got letter from Egg bank what on earth are they on about? it says ... "We have been notified that you have been made bankrupt... We will be seeking payment from you for the full amount that you owe us and we will be negotiating with the OR for full payment of this sum". Help! I thought all my debts were included in the bankruptcy so what does this mean? katie

Posted - 02 November 2009 : 21:36:22 Egg are one of the worst firms in the world for what I will call harrasment - do not worry - as others have said - they can do nothing now
Just a thought, if they have your landline and they start to call you - change your number and go ex directory - it will not cost you anything (in most cases that I am aware of - there may be an exception!)
We were ex directory anyway before BR, but some of my creditors had the number - a tiny bit of inconvenience with people that you want to speak to...! But worth it in the end.

Posted - 02 November 2009 : 17:14:08 As others have said - pass it over, ignore the threats as they can't do a thing and will get whatever dividend from the OR if you have to pay an IPA.

Posted - 02 November 2009 : 13:51:03 dont worry about it, par for the course and i had six or seven like that. . .its just part ofthe procedure the banks/credit card companies use to finalise your debts. do not worry about it at all. you have done everything correctly.
