I have notice on a few posts on here and also on other websites that when I have been to court my tax code will be changed.I am an agency worker at the min so have not got a permanant job.I assume that while i am working on my curreny assignement my code will be changed to NT.

Not sure if im understanding this right , i will get paid my gross pay as i will not have tax deducted from my wage by employer but i have to pay this money to the OR until the end of the current financial year...... is this right. If so how do i pay it , how often do they ask for it etc? bit worried they will leave it a while then ask for huge amounts etc which i am needing to keep aside for them....

But this would end in April anyhow wouldnt it for the nex tax year. Also i have an interview next week for a permanent job which i s only 20hors (currently work full time) so i think that would end the NT code earlier theough changing jobs ??

so many questions ..... head ready to explode ha ha

thanks in advance for words of advice

Thats right, however much tax you were paying thats how much Moonbeever will take off you monthly. Once April has come you will no longer have a NTC and will just pay tax as normal.

so they will take the exact same amount from me as what i would have been paying in tax , then when i change job or the end of the financial year whichever comes first my taxcode will revert back to normal and be paid as it was before BR ?

Hi ONK,

Your tax code will be NT, and you will receive your gross pay. A company called Moonbeaver will collect this money, and it can take 2 months+ before they make contact - probably even longer seeing has BR is on the increase.

Ensure you put this money away safely for Moonbeaver. If you change job, your tax code will revert back to its normal coding.

Gd Luck.

Hi again lol, you just dont pay tax on your pay so more will go into your bank, you can set up a standing order with a company called Moonbeavers who collect your payments and I pay them once a month. I recieved a letter from the IR in June informing me I will be getting a NTC but am still paying tax.
