Hello. I am thinking of going BR, as I am in a situation, with no other alternative.I owe about 20k, I am over 60 and was made redundant last April. I have arrears with the CSA of about £900. Will this be wiped clean with my other debts? Thank you.

Hi Jamie

sorry to read about your predicament

Before taking the plunge, you will need to consider pension, house, car, joint or single liabilities on the debts

I totally agree with Kallis 3. Establish all of the options before taking the plunge. speaking to one of the experts on this site may open up other avenues to help resolve your predicament.

most people on this site will offer support, help and guidance but until your whole situation is known no one can give direct guidance to you , just suggestions and answers.

Good luck in the path ahead, i would strongly urge you to send an email to one of the experts outlining your whole predicament, Be brave do it this weekend !

Well done for posting and starting to get control of your future

Regards Richard

Thank you for your answers guys. No, as yet I have not sought advice. I am trying to get as much info as I can before taking the plunge

CSA arrears can't be included in bankruptcy.

I do agree that speaking to a professional to find out what all of your options are would be a good idea.

The glimmer gets brighter all the time

Hello,
you are certainly in the right place for advice, have you spoken with any professionals regarding your debts as there may be other options open to you dependant on what assets you may have etc

as for CSA - i dont think this can be included in br but im sure an expert will be along to advise you shortly

good luck my friend and i hope you can resolve your problems in the most suitable way
