Hi, We are currently renting and unfortunately have had to change a few times now due to change of circumstances with the various landlords we have had, this has created outstanding balances we owe with British Gas and Southern Electric, although these are since the iva commenced, are we able to add these to the bankruptcy once we have saved up the fees?

Thanks for the replies, we are not having to move due to non payment or arrears, we have been A1 in paying our rent on the due date and now we have a fantastic landlady who I can't fault. Each time we have had to move has solely been down to a change of circumstances and the house we are now in is lovely and we are really happy here, but the landlady needs to raise £60k to give to her exhusband. I am hoping she can come up with the funds without selling this house, fingers crossed, she has promised to keep us informed as to how she gets on. Mikey |

Are you "having to move" due to arrears/non payment of rent or simply the end of a fixed term tenancy?
If the answer is yes to that then you should seek assistance from the local council if you are facing homelessness - they will be able to give you advice as they are required to do so in law, but it will depend on a number of criteria for them to assist with re-housing.
If you want to post back, I can make some suggestions for you to explore.
