Posted - 26 November 2009 : 12:30:50 I think the pressure from organisations like the CAB, CCCS and the National Debt Helpline, coupled with a will on the part of this government, (breaks my heart to say that!!) for debt to be managed by consent and agreement.
As Jane has said though they are still happening, but it is taking a bit longer on occasions.
Yes, it does cost a creditor a court fee when you are taken to court.

Posted - 26 November 2009 : 12:17:18 They do go for CCJs, I had 2 awarded whilst I waited to save up my bankruptcy fees and then hubby got court papers for one when he was 4 months bankrupt, obviously the company had not bothered to check first and they had to pay the court costs ooops |
