Posted - 03 December 2009 : 21:51:41 Got a letter from OR advising that they were ringing me at 9am the following morning ! was a little worrying but at least i didnt have much notice so did not have a lot of time to worry about it.
She was very pleasant , didnt ask me anything that i felt i had to defend myself on. She has actually been very helpfull as child benefit paid my money into account that was overdrawn and part of my BR rather than paying it to my co-op acc as i advised them. I spoke to child ben who said there was nothing i could do and my bank details had not been updated on bacs before they sent my payment. TSB pretty much told me to go jump. Rang OR , she made call to the bank and an hour later i was in the bank and they had been told they had to pay me the money. needless to say they were miffed etc but at least i got my money !
She helped me out with a couple of other things aswel. Nothing to be worried about. she was actually human , ha ha
Lyndsey
oh ps , she said case was very sinple and that i would probs get early discharge
pretty much everything is going great now , hugh weight off my mind, keep forgetting it happened (until i get the odd straggling phonecalls about needing to make a payment to various debtors - but they are wearing off very quickly) |

Posted - 04 December 2009 : 09:13:44 Hi Lyndsey
missed you over the last month ! glad things are improving since Newcastle.
ENJOY the phone calls (i Know sick) but my wife found it very theraputic to go all through security, start talking about the debt and then when she was bored politely inform them of her bankruptcy court reference and that they would have to make an enquiry with the OR.
more often than not there was a silence at the other end of the phone, sometimes they would just hang up others they would still try to negotiate with you to make a payment, that is fun when you remind them that they are encouraging you to break the law and as such they would be equally responsible, do they want to share a cell !
obviously you do not have to take the call or respond to anything other than your BR reference number and official Receivers office location.
keep looking forward ATB
