If you contact your local Citizens Advice Bureau and make an appointment with one of their Debt advisors they will assist you through this process and are experienced in assisting with mental illness problems and debt - not only will they help with advice and form completion, sometimes they will even attend the court with you for support so ask for their assistance

Hi Joanna

welcome to the forum you are not alone

lots of worries 2

as housing says find someone in the family that can assist not to solve your problems but to be as a back bone support.

some people are able to deal with Debt and the possibility of Bankruptcy on their own others need expert help.

good luck but try to make contact with one of the experts

regards Richard

Hi Joanna-c,

First of all, welcome to this forum.

I simply want to say that I too have suffered with my mental health and I am much older than you and you need to know that many of the people who post on this forum also have problems with their mental health, brought about by the stresses and strains of life and, in particular, with debt.

You are not alone. The process of bankruptcy is a serious one and you may well need some assistance - again, many people do.

Do you have any family or friends who may be able to assist you?

Sharing your problem may assist you.

This forum can offer you a fair bit of assistance - free! You need maybe to let one of the financial experts take you through the way to deal with your debt and I feel sure someone will pick up this and try to help you.

One thing again to emphasise, you are not alone and secondly, do not stress any more as there will be an answer for you, I am sure of that!

take care and my best wishes to you, Richard x
