Hi,

I have about three weeks left till automatic discharge, no IPA in place. The Insolvency Register is currently saying currently bankrupt, automatic discharge will be ** January 2010. Will the register automatically change to show me discharged on ** January 2010 or is there a delay? Just want to know so I can print out a copy and send it to my HR depertment in work asap so they can remove bankruptcy from my records.

Does anyone think I will hear anymore from OR now, last I heard was back in August when I sent them another I&E form but heard absolutely nothing since.

Once you are discharged you will stay on the register for a further 3 months. After that time your name will automatically be removed.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

Hi Crocket

The insolvency register is updated daily and normally the status is automatically updated on the exact date.

a short time later you are removed fromt eh register

however the insolvency people do say allow upto 3 months for the register to be updated

good luck with a clear debt free 2010

regards Richard

Don't forget to print off the entry on the insolvency register showing that you are discharged - some places will accept this as proof of discharge and save you the £60 or so for a certificate from the court.

Good luck, I hope you don't hear from the OR!

Hi,

Thanks for the replies. I didn't have a nil tax code. I am a civil servant so had to inform HR and had restrictions re handling public funds. Once I am discharged they have confirmed all records will be removed and restrictions as well.

It's unlikely that you will hear from the OR now especially with the Xmas/New Year holidays.

Has your HR dept. registered the fact that you are BR? Normally you would have a Nil Tax Code (depending when you declared BR) so they may be aware that something is up but I haven't heard of companies registering the fact that their employees are BR.

yes it updates automatically at midnight on the day before discharge, or on the morning of discharge if you like.

Anythings possible but it is unlikey you will have any more contact with the OR, unless you have assets that have not yet been sorted out
