Posted - 05 January 2010 : 05:10:54 Hi, i have been bankrupt for 4 months now and havnt had any communication from the OR since the interview. No assets and no IPA as am unemployed.
Just wondered what communications you've had since you were made bankrupt, either ED letters, change in circumstances letters.
Is it possible for me to do the 12 months with no comms from OR during that time or do they send change of circumstances letters half way thro ?? |

Posted - 06 January 2010 : 16:37:52 Hi Spices
My Wife has been BR for 6 months and the only correspondence she has received relates to an updated I & E form.
Each OR office varies.
The debts have been taken away from you, the phone calls and letters should have now stopped (if not contact the OR)
they are not going to speed up the process, it will take what it will take
The light at the end of the tunnel is approaching
good luck and regards Richard |

Asking for an ED?!?!?!? Isn't 1 year a short enough time for you to put up with the minimal BR restrictions in order for having all of your debts written off????
An ED is a bonus and not a right.
If you dont ask you dont get. Worth mentioning it to them in a subtle way. |

Posted - 05 January 2010 : 14:21:59 Hi, My O.R said that contacting them regarding E.D., would result in E.D being denied....so my advice is to leave them alone, and keep checking the insolvency register. It worked for me!!. |

That's right. In this case it is no news is good news. You should hear from the OR when your case is transferred to the RTLU and then they may contact you if they are considering ED.
Why would my case be transferred to RTLU?

Posted - 05 January 2010 : 13:11:44 Ok just checked my paperwork and i did recvd a NTB2 form to sign and send back.
So any more contact from the OR would be if they need any further info or if they are applying for ED in which case a IPQD form would be sent ? |

Posted - 05 January 2010 : 06:54:32 Also look at this post (http://www.bankruptcyhelp.org.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9910) as they never received any communication from the OR after their interview and heard nothing until their AD. |

Posted - 05 January 2010 : 06:53:16 Have you received the OR's pack containing the NTB2 form that needs to be signed? If so and you won't be liable for an IPA then that could well be it until you are discharged unless the OR wants to apply for ED.
In my case I received:
- OR's pack 1 month after BR (there were some delays in the OR's office) - Letter confirming my car is exempt 6 weeks after BR - Letter confirming the OR is not interested in the property I rent (8 weeks after BR) - Letter regarding my IPA setup 10 weeks after BR - Letter from MoonBeever to setup IPA payments 12 weeks after BR - Letter saying my case had been transferred to the RTLU 22 weeks after BR
I received an ED at week 27 of my BR but didn't receive anything from the OR/RTLU advising of this and I found out via the Insolvency Register.
The next thing you will probably hear is that your case has been transferred to the RTLU. This will mean that the OR has completed their investigations and then there 'may' be a chance of an ED. |
