I have so many questions to ask, so I apologise for all these posts! I have a joint personal bank account with my husband, I am having to go bankrupt because my business has failed. Before I go bankrupt should I remove myself from the joint account so that it doesn't get frozen and then cause my husband issues and problems?

Hi there and welcome to the foru. With regard to your joint account with your husband you will find that if this account is not in credit the bank will not remove your name, if that is the case your husband will have to open seperate banking facilities at another bank and you will list the joint account(whole of the debit balance on your bankruptcy forms (you will also need to open a new bank account for yourself at another bank) although your joint account will be included in the bankruptcy your husband will still be liable for the whole of the amount owed under the joint account (under joint and several libility you are both liable for the whole amount not 50/50)
