am planning on registering in some employment agencies and want to know which jobs and organisations i cant work for whilst bankrupt.

Also what would be the best way to tell an agency that am bankrupt without being judgemental or going into too much detail ?

You don't have to notify anyone that you are BR unless you are applying for credit of more than £500.

I can't say whether you would be credit checked when working in a call centre for a bank but I would doubt it. You are not dealing with actual finances but assisting people with their queries or maybe even chasing people for their unpaid debts???

Generally when you start work for a company via an agency you won't be subject to the same background checks/interviews that you would be if you were hired by the company themselves.

hi Spices,

I agree with gettingoutofdebt - unless the agency asks you a direct question about Br, you do not need to tell them

You will find that most jobs on a agency basis are likely to be Ok - but steer clear of jobs in the "finance industry."

You cannot be a local councillor or an MP - but why would you want to be!! (joke)

You cannot generally speaking, be a licencee

Good luck, Richard

If they put me forward to a call centre job for a bank then they'd normally do a credit check on me ?

Also if they didnt and they didnt ask me then is it my responsiblity to notify them of my sistuation ?

You can't be a Director of a company when BR and a lot of Finance jobs are probably out of the question but other than that you should be ok.

Some of the jobs agencys have are call centres at banks. or even council work.
