Posted - 13 January 2010 : 12:28:33 Hi ALL (did write a Success article yesterday and BIG THANKS to various and ALL but somehow lost the whole thing and didnt have the energy to type it all again! So will update that again when I have some more spare time but BIG THANKS to MELANIE especially and all others who advised and supported it was an enormous help throughout the whole thing :o)I will drop in from time to time to see if I am able to help anyone else). So I received a letter advising of my Early Discharge yesterday I was discharged on 29th December Yipee! Hope to those who are still waiting after receiving the letter advising OR looking at case for possible ED they are running very behind at least at my office BR end March 2009 ltr advising being considered recd August/Sept time then final ltr advising ED recd this week after it actually happened but all good :o). Ok so my question - I will now attempt to rebuild everything. I already have a Cash Plus pre paid card and have used this since the beginning works very well and makes you at least not feel like total crettin as you have a card with you name on for paying for things etc. Now I want to get a bank account in my name again, I was with Barclays for over 20 years previously and did not owe them anything at BR and had business accounts with them and did not owe. At BR they closed my accounts and offered cash plus account which I didnt bother with as had friends to help etc. Now I would like to open an account could anyone advise what I do about Credit Ref agencies etc I know my history will still show I have been BR for a 6 year period but not sure what I need to do to show my accounts are no longer open in terms of credit cards etc and what should my record actually show now I am discharged I will have the discharge ltr from OR for the bank I know (not recd ltr yet went to my Mums house waiting for it perhaps it has details about what to do in it?) If anyone can advise what to do next that would be great I will get Expreian & Equifax reports ready to view but want to give myself the best chance and least horrid experiences of being knocked back by being prepared and making sure the CR agencies info is at least correct. Sorry to waffle! Thanks
