Hi all,
Have my BR hearing next Monday, just a quick question bothering me...
I have been in rented accomodation for 6 months on a 12 month contract, I have no rental arrears. Will the OR have to inform my landlord, Im worried to death about loosing my flat. Do they have to notify them or can I ask them not to, I have included all the details addresses etc in my SOA for court?

Hi Matt,
If you are up to date on your rent and have no arrears, your landlord is unlikely to take any action. I am sure he would far rather have a tenant who pays on time!

You can ask them not to inform the landlord but this doesn't mean they won't. They are obliged to check that there aren't any rental arrears. You can always tell the OR you will provide a copy of the rental agreement and then they should be able to see from the bank statements that there aren't any arrears. This is what I did and the landlord didn't mention anything to me about being contacted by the OR so I am assuming he wasn't. |
