Hi Guys
bringer of bad news
went to court today and been informed by the clerk that they have had formal notification of increase in Bankruptcy petition fees.
as from 04th April 2011 to petition at county court will now cost 150 court fees (no change) plus 475 official receiver deposit.
so new court fees are 625.
uncertain if same change at High Court.
guys if you are sitting around and know that you have to go BR but waiting for the right time, save yourself some of the money , speak to one of the experts and get to court asap

Still bad that they put the fees so high - the whole reason behind going BR is that you have no money!

yep just checked it is the court fee now £175, not the bankruptcy deposit that is changing

I am not certain debt info just repeating what the clerk told me today. (changed after posting)
if it is increase in court fee that would make it more important to speak to the clerk before and have court fee redemption form submitted in correct time frame, suprisingly process changes from court to court

i might be wrong but i believe that it is the court fee that is increasing by £25 not the OR's bankruptcy deposit |

To be honest I thought it was going to be worse than that but it's still a lot of money.
