Posted - 11 March 2012 : 01:26:47 i have just recently recovered from a back injury and in celebration i took out a 2k provident home loan so that i may have my first holiday in 8 years. however my back has relapsed and i am only able to work half days and as i have no sick pay remaining my salary has been halved. as soon as i released this i paid back as much of the loan as i had left 450 pounds which equates to 9 weeks worth of payments. due to my cut in income i can no longer afford to repay my debts and i am considering bankruptcy (i currently owe nearly 20k in unsecured debt and have no assets apart from a car worth 500 punds) . as this is a unqiue situation i just wanted to know where i stood in regards to a bankruptcy petition

Posted - 11 March 2012 : 08:20:15 Hi Viki,
Thanks for replying, yes the car is needed for work purposes and also my mobility is limited due to my injury so a car is a must have for generally gettng around.
I will contact a specialist and seek additional assistance.
Thanks again.

Posted - 11 March 2012 : 07:27:13 Hi,
I suggest you contact an expert to make sure that bankruptcy is the best option to you, which it sounds like it may be.
You took out the loan intending to pay it back, so you haven't done anything wrong.
