Lloyds are great, thats who my partners account is with.

That's interesting Kerri - I spoke to Lloyds yesterday about my BR and they said they are more than happy for me to keep my current account with them providing the OR is happy as I don't have any credit with them. I'll speak to the OR after my BR, but hopefully they'll let me keep it.

I was also told that Lloyds have changed their policy regarding BR - if you are already a customer they will let you keep an account with them - obviously providing they are not one of your creditors.

Where there's life there's hope!

one bit of news i had to day from my CAB man was, he was at a conference with my local OR for this area and he was the main lecturer one of the questions he was asked about was do they freeze bank accounts, he said they the OR do not freeze the account but leave it up to the bank themselves so if you donot owe them anything it may be wise to tell them what you are doing and can you keep your account

Hi Titan, I would tell them the truth and opt for a basic account. If you go BR they will freeze any current account.

My partner had a current account but told them about his BR, they were fine and they changed it to a basic account which isn't much different anyway.
