Posted - 11 May 2007 : 03:07:26 hello darrin, the bankruptcy order took effect on the date and time stated on the order. Whether or not you receive an IPA has not been determined because you have not met with the Official Receiver( OR). You will be notified about an appointment either by telephone or mail.
An IPO is when you disagree with the payment the OR determined you should pay and it takes a court order to make you pay. An IPA is voluntary and does not require a court order to enforce.
Sounds like the courthouse you attended was very busy.
I am not a bankruptcy professional. I am someone who has filed for one.
