Posted - 23 July 2007 : 13:52:07 We have another two questions for anyone who has gone through BR. We were told by our BR advisor our names will be published in a newspaper when our BR goes through. Is this a local or national paper or both? We have discovered recently that our names, address, DOB's and the fact we are going through an IVA are available for anyone to view on-line. Is this the same for bankruptcy?

Posted - 24 July 2007 : 10:31:35 Hi your name will be published in a local paper. My announcement was a couple of inches high and tucked away right at the back of the paper, almost in with the dodgy ads! Your details will also be in the London Gazette and yes, they will be on the Insolvency Register online. The way I looked at it was 1. I never knew where the BR notices were until I was looking for mine, 2. I didn't even know there was an Insolvency Register and 3. no-one I know reads the London Gazette!
