You decided on a bank that offers you the electron card. Well, it's a good card UNTIL you realise it's not accepted everywhere you happen to be shopping.
So, you then get a Gregory Pennington 'ThinkBanking' account which is great. Offers a maestro card accepted internationally, over the internet, etc. BUT you don't care for the idea of paying £12.50 per month to have your account managed.
Hold on to your plastic people. There is a NEW concept. The pre-paid credit card. Works like a interest bearing credit card EXCEPT it require NO credit check and there is NO interest accruing. You basically load up the card with cash. Voila! Jane's your aunt or Bob's your uncle. I prefer Jane because I never had an uncle named Bob.
I would get one, but my lifestyle does not warrant my having one. I also like the idea of having a Gregory Pennington account because I can never ever be overdrawn on my bank account;and it offers a great card good everywhere I happen to be. Also,it does NOT have that tell-tale CASHPLUS splashed on the front of it!
