Posted - 21 March 2011 : 13:11:44 Hello everyone,
I declared myself bankrupt March 2009 and accepted a 6 year BRU September 2009 (due to my reckless spending )
I am confused as to when or if I will "automatically" be discharged and also.... can I be given an IPA at any time during my 6 year BRU which will end September 2015 ???
I have looked a the insolvency Service website and there is nothing to indicate a 12 month automatic discharge?
Thankyou all in advance

Posted - 22 March 2011 : 06:31:52 there would have been 2 entries on the insolvency register, one for the bankruptcy and one for the bru. the first one will have dropped of in 2010. so ifthere is now only one entry for the bru then you have been disharged

There is no mention of a "discharge" date ...... only that my BRU ends September 2015

to best of my knowledge you will be bankrupt for the year. (unless failure to comply )
if you get "awarded" an IPA / IPO that will be arranged during the year
the restrictions of BRU will run for the 6 years until sep 2015.
at the expiry of your bankruptcy the insolvency web site will be amended to show that you have a BRU until sepot 2015
