Woo Hoo!
OR called today (he doesnt want a full interview) and said that I can keep my car (valued on the threshold of £2500), just need to send in proof of insurance/mot/tax!!!!
He also asked about furniture (I said is Ikea an asset?), he said it wasnt!!!!
Wants just a couple of balances from me (that were missed out by accident) and a break down of my extras on expenditure.

He was lovely, really nice and very accomodating and happy to explain things.

I'll go now as on a public PC at work. No internet access at my dads, so will try and log on tomorrow!

Thanks for all your support guys.
I'm begining to feel that BR was the best option afterall.

Jo: You give the best advice. One day at time!

Hello Trolly Dolly,

Pleased to hear you were approved for your separate coop accounts but did you know that if you like they will probably give you another joint account too. My wife and I have separate accounts and a joint account.

Hi Jo,

I bought my baby with some money I made from my shares, but in the grand scheme of things, I think the OR wouldn't have been happy for me to keep it. My cherished plate has also gone (as of last year).

Glad you managed to get your plate sorted out, and mum has been so kind to let you have her car. Where would we be without our parents, friends and this forum?

Hi Zamfir,

I let my baby go back prior to BR and for me that was hard as i had worked so hard to get a new car and then reality hit and one car had to go and it was mine :-( never mind, my mum has said that next year once we are discharged I can have her little run around, as all i need a car for now is shopping, taking kids out but from next year i want to go back to work, maybe on nights again and there wont be any transport so to be offered her little car will be great. :-)
She also bought the BI in my cherished plate, and so she has said that she will even put the plate on to save it being on retention.
She is a sweetie and my saviour.

I had to sell my baby (car) to pay court/OR fees, and bought a 2001 renault clio as a replacement.

The OR confirmed (on the day I went BR) that I could keep that, and even commented that I had done the right thing.

He didn't ask to see MOT/Insurance details etc though.

Hi TD

Thats really good that you got to keep the car.I go BR on thursday and that is the thing that I am most worried about seeing as I am moving to Glasgow in two weeks and it will really hamper me if they take it.

I will post once it is over on thursday.

Many thanks for the great advice on the site by all the experts.

Hi Sueann

From myself i would like to say "Your welcome" like you without this site i would not have been able to do it but after finding this place and getting the advice like you i managed to do my one on my own.
I had my first month yesterday, it has gone so quick. The first month down 11 to go or could be less if we get an early discharge.
All the best
