Hi I have a current IVA which i have had for 6 months the debt was all mine but my wifes salary was taken into account as we were living together she was never happy but agreed to help me, now it looks like we will be separating and i will not be able to afford the IVA
payments, would bankruptcy my alternative potion and would it be best.

Hi Nandb and welcome

Im sorry to hear about you and your wife. Have you spoken to your IVA provider to see if they can lower the payments.
I can see why you would think BR would be a good route but maybe you could call your IVA provider or better still call our helpline, they can give you advice steered towards your own circumstances, the number is 0800 078 9367
