Hi

Was just wandering what your thoughts were. Co-op will be closing my savers account with them, as I cant have this account but can have a Cashminder. My question is do you think I would be able to hold 2 cashminder accounts?? The reason being I like to keep money for the kids stuff school/parties/activities etc - to one side separate from day to day bills etc. Would feel safer with in being in account rather just hanging around in the house. The reason I want it to be with Co-op is that I can manage it online as one.

What do you think??

thanks x

Hey GT

Will try and phone today

Looks like we are all going to be jumping on the band wagon

The weights are coming off my shoulders very slowly, but making such a big diference !!

I've had an account with them for nearly 18 months, and I've been discharged for nearly 7 months now so I don't know if that makes any difference?

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

After reading this I phoned the Co-op and opened a second Cashminder this morning. It was accepted so I've just got to wait for the account details.

Thats just standard practice Jo - you should get your details within the week. I think mine was agreed on the spot as it were, cus held a cashminder and savings since Nov 07 and has run in good order. Let us know how you get on - glad I was able to help you for a change x
Needafriend Posted - 19 October 2008 : 10:10:23
Well i just thought i would give the coop a call and see if i cuuld open one for the shear hell of it, went through the application with a nice lady then she said it was referred and should hear in a few days.
So lets wait and see, im not that bothered at the moment about the account just wanted to see if i could get one.

Wow that is brilliant - and open on a Sunday too!!

I phoned them yesterday and they were really polite and helpful and opened a joint cashminder. I did not tell them about the BR I will tell them when it happens.

It is worth knowing you can get a 2nd account, if oh virgin/mbna card is part of coop group I will hopefully be able to open an account just in my name incase they close the joint one down.

Woo hoo, how quick was that, I have just spoke to Co-op - they have opened me another account and details are winging their way, spoke to a lovely customer service guy (as always).

Worth bearing in mind if anyone else needs separate accounts.

Thanks Jo x
Needafriend Posted - 19 October 2008 : 09:38:36
Hi That would be purely down to the bank to whether they would allow a 2nd account, so you would need to ask them.

I opened a Gold Pre paid card for all my stuff like that so i can keep mine seperate.

Best of luck
