I didnt know this, perhaps you do already..........

If you have 3 failed DDs/returned payments then your account will be closed unless you can prove that it was not your fault!

I have had two since it opened, and now I am scared.

Can you believe this? I can't!
When I opened my cashminder they asked if they should go ahead and close llyods. I said yes, even though Llyods were willing to keep me open! May try them again on a solo account if it goes pear shaped with Co-Op!

Hey guys

I checked and double checked if it was ok to use and they said no problem - they werent one of my creditors though, so i think that may have made a difference

Onwards and Upwards is the way im going :-0)

From "Moneyworries" to "Movin On" in 3 months is fantastic :-))

Hi Skip

But how do you get on when they are your main creditor, like £45k owed to them.

LOL

Movin On was able to open an account with Lloyds when she went BR.

18 IPA payments to go!
Tikka Posted - 18 December 2008 : 16:55:36
so do Lloyds do a basic account for un-discharged BR?

I couldnt go to Barclays as they would want my blood too! oops...

Personally I wish I didnt have to deal with banks, would rather stuff my money under my mattress, this whole thing left me feeling rather pants towards the whole banking world!
Needafriend Posted - 18 December 2008 : 16:10:51
Hi

I hope you get it sorted out TD, i cant go to LLoyds as they were one of my creditors and they would want blood from me even now.

So hopefully we should be ok.

Take care

I agree with Skippy - I have always got the Lloyds account i opened post br, just incase of any more mistakes (on coop's part that is).

You can open an account with Think Banking at any time as they don't credit check.

To be honest I thought they were a complete waste of money, and I would try Barclays or Lloyds before resorting to Think.

Thanks for that, how awful for you.
So one more strike and I'm out? Thats pants!
I guess I will have to give Think a try. can we get accounts once we are discharged?
