Hello

Please could I ask how long is it usually from the time the OR sends a letter saying that Moonbeevers have been appointed to them getting in touch.

Happy new year

Hi J4T

Thats right as your BR was near the end of the financial year there would have been no time to set it up so that ones out of the way.

The IPA for your income, what dont you agree to on it as it may be worth calling the helpline and asking them to go through it with you, if you dont agree then the OR will suspend discharge and can ultimately go for the next step an IPO where by the COURT orders that you pay that amount.

I went brupt in march 08 so the nil tax code thing was for and up to april 08.I understand that this means i won't have to deal with that aspect when the ipa collections gets sent to moonbeavers. Can someone tell me how often i will therefore have to send wage slips to them and I would also like to know whether they can start making any changes or objecting to what the or has allowed you as allowable expenses. This is so traumatic to deal with as my income is variable.

Hi Jelly4toes

Moonbeever will ask for your wages slips monthly until an NT code IPA has been set up and then they will make sure that you have the standing order info to send the agreed amount.

If there is a change of circumstance like we did my OH had a payrise then we had to resend them to them so that they could adjust the amount.

If your in an Income IPA then you would have to inform them about any changes like less money on your wages or a big enough payrise to warrant a change to any agreed amount.

I called mine the other day they know the NT code is now in place and dont need to see any more slips unless they ask or i tell them of a big change.

It can take a long time.

I went BR in November and I'm still paying PAYE tax as normal (although due to a cock up with current employers I haven't been paid for last month so I don't have a payslip yet). How soon does it take for the NT code to be implemented and for someone to tell me how much tax they want from me?

Hi Skippy

I don't know but should probably find out.

I suspect that there is no point in changing the process for the IPA's that deal with the NT tax code position as there is a natural run off.

However the 3 year IPA may be different.

I have also noticed that Moonbeever seem to be much more interested than CWC in seeing payslips on an ongoing basis.

I wonder if their pitch to the insolvency service included a higher return due to much more scruitny on pay over 3 years ( bonuses, etc etc)

Paul, do you think Moonbeever will take over all the payments, or will Clarke Willmott carry on with the existing ones?

I suppose it could explain why the woman at CW wasn't interested when I phoned them a couple of months ago!

18 IPA payments to go!
Needafriend Posted - 02 January 2009 : 16:32:25
Hi Sleeplessnights

If you wanted to you could give them a call on Monday and find out when they will want there money sent to them.

Maybe they have forgotten it has been christmas, but they will no doubt be in contact soon.

I would keep the money to one side and have it ready to send once they ask for it. We were lucky i suppose as they contacted us beg of Oct, the first payment went out end of Oct. We went bankrupt 4/8. So quite quickly, we have 3 left to pay now.

Best of luck and let us know how it all goes

This happened to us, we really should have paid 5 payments but CW only asked for 3
sleeplessnights Posted - 02 January 2009 : 15:31:17
Hello, on a side note we went BR in October. My other half has not paid tax for 2 months therefore we have £460.00 sat in the bank.
We sent the last 3 wage slips via fax to Moonbeevers on Monday 29.12.08

When do you think Moonbeevers will advise us the amount owed and will they go for the whole £460.00 (arrears at once) then £230.00 per month or want £230.00 per month for 6 months?

Clark Willmot lost the contract recently so Moonbeevers are the new boys on the block

My payments are collected by Clarke Willmott, and they took a while to contact me. It was 3 months from me going BR to making my first payment, and I think it would have been longer of I hadn't chased them up.
