Hello!!!
Me and my partner own £27000 and we can't afford to pay it.
We have been with Payplan for 2years+ on a debt management paln, but since October that we are not paying nothing because we can;t afford.
We have been advice to go Bankrupt.
We read and heard all about it and agreed that is the best solution for all our problems.
The problem is HOW WILL WE PAY THE MONEY? We have to pay £460 each, but we barely can afford to pay our rent and food!!!
Is there any thing we may be able to do to help us raise the money?

Hi couple_in_debt and welcome to the forum.

The cort fee for bankruptcy is £495 each. Depending on which benefits you are receiving (if any), you may qualify for a £150 reduction (check with your local County Court). In addition, a lot of the utility companies do have a fund to assist in cases such as there, so it may be worth giving them a try.

Hi couple_in_debt. Welcome to the forum :) Someone will come along much more knowledgeable than me, but you will need to find the BR money from somewhere, but I believe if you are on benefits that you can claim some of it back.
