Hi All,

After the nightmare of travelling 100 miles to Stoke to go BR last week only to be told we were in the wrong court we have finally booked into the correct one - not until 27/4 though & we now have to pay £515 each rather than £495.

Any who - my questions are, at present we have a car valued circa £2000 my job (self employed sales agent) sees me travel across the UK so I need a decent reliable car. Now my wife has got a job she also needs a car.

I get paid via commission from sales I make for 3rd parties - this I keep in a separate account and do not draw as salary - I plow it back into my business in the form of advertising, PR and trade shows.

If I were to purchase a 2nd car to use for business only, and give my wife the current car, would the OR try to seize this when we do go BR?

I suppose in the same vein - if I acrew funds in this account but do not touch them other than for my business will the OR try and take them?

Cheers

Tim

If you are both going Br and both need a vehicle for work i think the OR will accept both cars as long as they are sensibly valued

Just re read this post and it makes it sound like we live the life of Riley - and I don't take it forgranted that comparred to some on the site we are very lucky indeed - however we have again like many on this site lost our home, our business etc and are just trying to pull ourselves back onto our feet by hard work...
