Husband has just recieved a letter informing of an interview date which he has to attend in person. I didnt get a letter and wonder if mine will be done on the phone? My debts were a third of what he had...does this make a difference?

Also can someone tell me what constitutes an early discharge?

Thanks

Hi T Bird,

The OR will keep you in BR for as long as it takes to deal with your assets etc. You usually receive an early discharge questionaire after 6 months. I was actually discharged after 7 months. As Andymac says, there does seem to be little pattern to it. The best advice is to assume you'll do the full 12 months.

whilst we all have the urge to dig and try to think, " WHAT IF" etc, each case is treated differently, you might also get an interview in person, it may be just the phone, but dont worry.

Regarding early discharge, again this is a case by case basis. I have seen on here regularly very simple cases that go for the full 12 months, there seems to be little pattern to it.

The best way to deal with it, seems to be to just accept that you will be BR for 12 months, and if you get ED, then all the better. But dont wait for it, it will drive you crazy.
