Hi

Is it ok to sign the voluntary repossession forms regarding the shortfall before going bankrupt?

Any idea anyone?

Thank you

Yeah, NR really dragged their feet with me, I was ringing them all the time asking them to hurry up and repossess the house, they wanted us to sign the "forms" but we wouldn't so they took 13 months to repossess the house from when we stopped paying them and moved out

Hi

Thank you I will be very careful and post back when the form arrives. We just want them to repossess as soon as but they haven't even contacted us about not paying!

Cheers

agree

especially Northern Rock as they are being a pain with property banking of properties and leaving the mortgageee to be chased by the councils

Hi

Excellent advice from gettingoutofdebt.

Be very wary when looking at signing agreements - come to this forum or take independent advice before getting a real problem for yourselves.

Be careful of the voluntary repossession forms as they normally contain a statement that says you will pay the shortfall even if you declare BR.

The debt can be included in your BR so there isn't a problem signing it before BR but be very careful of the wording used on the form regarding the shortfall.
