I owed Yorkshire water some money and they have passed it over to a debt collection company who in turn have forcefully taken it out of my job seekers allowance. Is this allowed ?

Hi Daniel,

Are you currently bankrupt or have been bankrupt?

If not, then I agree with Jan, you should contact the CAB for advice.

I thought only CSA was deductible at £5 per week.

Were you Bankrupt? When were you discharged?

Hi and welcome.

I've no idea on this one at all - hopefully one of the other experts can help, otherwise I'd speak to CAB to see if they can advise.
