Hi, i'm considering taking the big step. very worried about how much ill be left with a month, i get around £1400 a month and have around 800-900 in bills so what would the OR want me to pay per month?
And can you leave the country to work after bankruptcy?

You can volunteer abroad, the bankruptcy would not stop you from doing that.

You need to put down what you spend and be prepared to justify it if necessary.

If you do volunteer work, how are you going to fund your every day expenses while you do that.

£800-900 seems quite low outgoings, have you checked all your statements to make sure you have accounted for everything you spend, some things dont come up on a regular basis so can be easy to forget

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can leave the country whenever you want. Just make sure they have your contact details, and if your income and expenditure changes, which it may, then tell the OR.

Please speak to an expert on here for advice, or make an appointment at your local CAB.

Hi Jake.
Its the OR's and Trustees duty to collect 'spare' income, but you are allowed reasonable living expenses.

I think it will always be treated on an individual basis.
