Hello all,
Have not been on here for quite a while, and i can hardly believe it has been over 6 Years since i first found this site and asked for advice. My Bankruptcy ends on 22/7/15, and i was just wondering if on the 23/7/15 you plain and simply start life off again with a clean sheet/fresh start? My score at present with Experian is 999, and don't know if applying to any credit card Companies again (after 23/7/15) means i have to try the bad credit ones etc, or just any i feel like as they will know nothing of my previous Bankruptcy as it doesn't show/exist anymore?!! I have been doing the Cashplus Gold card for the past 4 Years, have a few Bank A/C's (Visa debit ones) , Mobile phone contract i have had for 10 Years, electoral roll for 12 Yrs, have got all credit cards/loans etc to change/adjust their "default date" to 22/7/15, and am now hoping that nearly everything is in order?!! One of the things i was considering doing was a "notice of correction" to explain my previous situation that led to me to doing the Voluntary Bankruptcy. I just wondered if they are ever taken in to consideration, and actually read by possible future lenders, or just to make the Experian/Equifax £15 P/M paying customer feel that they have "had their little say". I used to buy/sell properties, and was also curious as to whether any Mortgage Companies would entertain me after the Bankruptcy has ended on the 23/7/15, or do they still see somewhere that you have this bad background, or does it just completely not show to any establishments at all?!!
Sorry for "going on a bit" . . . and thanks in anticipation, Bob.

Also defaults over 3 years old carry less weight and a lot of things will fall off before the end of the BR period if not touched. Satisfied yes but date touched don't insist on it. Pointless bringing something which defaulted in sat 2010 to 2015.

I had to contact all my creditors so I had fun playing this game.

Many thanks Viki for the info ;-)

Hi, congratulation, nearly all finished.

If all your creditors have marked their entries as satisfied, then when your BR disappears your credit file should be good, you don't need to mention your bankruptcy to any potential lenders unless specifically asked.

I have no idea on this one at all but have locked the user if they are using your user name.

Thanks Niobe . . . I shall do a bit of "Googling" now ;-) My Bankruptcy actually ends on 22/7/15, but will probably not bother with the notice of correction, as it seems that it may even be detrimental to my future as it slows down any application, and then involves a "human being" getting to have their input?!!
Thanks again.

Hi,

Well done for coming so far. Everything should just drop off after the six years. I'd check Call Credit as well just to make sure they have nothing on you.

If your BR has gone then I personally would not complicate matters by putting a Notice of Correction on.

You may find that some companies hold their own records which go on after the six years is up.

As to mortgages, you will need a hefty deposit and may well not be able to get high street rates to start off with.

You could try these two:

ivamortgageexpert.co.uk which is a man called Ryan Radford or equity-online.co.uk which is Shaun Vickery. They specialise in helping people who have had credit problems.
