No, the costs would be borne by the creditor which is why not many creditors do it as it costs them a lot more than £705

If you are bankrupt then you do not have the money to pay the creditors.

It would be good if the OP came back to us and let us know how she is getting on.

HMRC will make you bankrupt if you don't pay them within the 21 days after they serve you.

At least it wouldn't cost you if they did. I don't think people pay if a creditor makes them bankrupt?

Hi Ann,

If you're insolvent then bankruptcy may be an option for you and yes it can cover tax debts, but we need a bit more info re your situation.
