I've done a bit of reasearch and the amount can be different as well depending on how many nights if any the person on JSA has the children.

I think it also comes into effect if both parente are on JSA as well.

£5 is the flat rate for people claiming means tested benefits, however this can be halved if their new partner is also on means tested benefits.

is £5 the max that can be asked for on JSA per week?

I agree Tracey - we should not make comments about partners whether ex or not.

Ascend may you find no resistance
Know that you made such a difference
All you leave behind will live to the end
The cycle of suffering goes on
But memories of you stay strong
Someday I too will fly and find you again

Pcoventry I don't think comments about the OP's other half are really necessary as we only have one side of the story.

The more I have to do with humans the more I think that the world would be a better place if it was run by animals.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.

If CSA want 25% ask them for a review. Max they can claim from someone on JSA is £5 a week.

Your wife is deluded I am sorry to say.

Hi Peter,

Could your ex keep up on the mortgage payments on her own?
Is there any equity in the property?
Do you have any unsecured debts?

Hi Peter and welcome to the forum.

Have you been to your local CAB yet for any advice?
