That should be ok then for the rent. The housekeeping's a tough one really. Maybe try £260 or so? Maybe even a little bit more?? How does that sound?

Thanks very much guy’s – I have taken your comments and amended my figures.

Few questions – what does domestic break mean in the allowances? How much would you include for break down cover? And very silly question but can come explain exactly what an IPA is?

That is a good price Hitman - a 1 bed maisonette in my road is £750 a month!

Confused, a domestic break is another way of putting a holiday. I must admit I put holiday on the forms!

I put £10 a month for breakdown cover, but it really depends what you are spending on it.

An IPA is an Income Payment Agreement. If you have more than £100 surplus income a month (after all your outgoings) you will be expected to pay a percentage of that into an IPA - 50%-70%, depending how much is available. There is a table in my blog showing how much you could expect to pay.

Tomorrow is a mystery, yesterday is history, today is the present, a gift to make the most of.

I was only allowed £185 housekeeping for a single person, I did put down £370 for two people and the OR halved it! Seems people are getting alot more!

Your pet costs seem high, I was only allowed £20 for pet costs, thats food etc.

But then if you don't ask you don't get!

As long as you can prove your costs you will be fine.

As long as you can evidence anything with regards to your expendture if asked by the OR then they may be leanient towards you.
As Maizie has said if you dont ask you dont get.
Best of luck
