I have just received an attachment of earnings order saying I need to pay £237 per month for one of my debts ( of which I have several)... I am unable to afford this and have just 15 days ( from today) to respond or start paying before they start taking it directly from my salary. I am thus considering bankruptcy. What do you suggest my next steps should be?

Many thanks,

George

Hi George and welcome.

Bankruptcy is certainly one thing you could consider but it's not the only option.

What other debts do you have and are there any assets such as a house which need to thought about?

Hi George,

How much is your overall debt? So you have any assets? Can you afford anything towards your debt? Please post some details or speak to an expert to chat through your options.
