I was made bankrupt in 2007 by the council for councul tax. I was not aware that there was any court proceding, as I was not in the country. The property was occupied by a tenant at the time the bankruptcy started. If I was in the country I would have attended the court to make some form of arrangement to pay the council tax off. The council said I was aware, because I signed for the court letters. I requested for the signed voucher. They have not replied for the past 6 months. I have proof I was not in the country at time, as my passport is stamped. I do not believe I got a fair hearing as I was in court. What else can I do to get a fair hearing, which can support my claim?
Are you trying to get the bankruptcy annulled? If so, then I don't know if it is possible as you will have been automatically discharged after 12 months.
You can still get it annulled, if you have only just returned you will not have been discharged as the the discharge would have been suspended
You need to speak to an insolvency practitioner, or one of the experts on here regarding the process. The Line you would be going down is "Ought not have been made". Give paul at reviva, details on the left" a ring, not sure if he does annulments but worth asking
