I do not know of any council that has an express clause within the tenancy agreement about anything detrimental about being bankrupt. I do, however, know of tenancies in the private sector where there are onerus clauses.
The whole ethos of a council tenancy is that it is "secure" and has been since the Housing Act 1980.
Provided that the rental is paid when due and that you conduct yourself in a "tenant like manner" you will be fine
I hope this assists and wish you well with your decision as to whether to peition for bankruptcy.
There are many people on this forum who will be pleased to assist you or answer your questions based upon their experiences. Good luck, Richard Parry
