hi-im seperated and my ex has declared bankruptcy - if the trustees put a charge on the house allowing me to stay here with the children until they leave school - does my half of the equity stay as its value of todays prices or if theres a rise in prices do i keep 50% of the equity at the time of the sale??? thanks for your time..

Your 50% equity in the house will rise as the house increases in value. Your share in the house - which is usually 50% - will not be affected as you are ot becoming bankrupt.

All the best
