Hi there,

Just trying to get all my questions answered b4 going BR.

I bought a car around 5 yrs ago, which is probably only worth £700-£800 now. However we recently bought another car for my wife so she could ferry the children around, especillay our disabled child. (the other car i use to get to and from work). The new car we bought was only £795 but it is in my name as i went to have a look at it from the dealership.

However as i dont drive it is it best to put it in my wifes name before BR or will the OR see this and ask why?! And will it go against me?!

Many Thanks

You mention you have two vehicles are these both in your name?

I would be careful of transferring vehicles across at this point in time both the vehicles added together only add up to £1500 which is bellow the £2500 for one vehicle.

I would be upfront with the OR and explain the necessity for both vehicles rather than transfer the vehicle and be questioned about this at a later stage.
