hi all, i know this question comes up quite alot but can someone please tell me if we open up a new account say with the co-op before we go bankrupt how can i be sure that the OR will not freeze it many thanks

If it is with a BR Friendly bank such as Co-op or Barclays check with them and the courts, some will say they wont some may.

Other option is a managed bank account they are not frozen

If you want to make sure that it isn't frozen then don't put the details on the SOA. If you haven't used the account prior to BR and don't have any debts with it then you don't need to put it on the SOA.

I opened a Co-op account about 10 days prior to declaring BR but hadn't received the account details when I submitted the SOA so the details weren't on the form and the account wasn't frozen. I mentioned the account at the OR's interview and they were fine with it.
