Hi - this may seem a daft question, but I had early discharge in December last year. I've never had an IPA or IPO either, just third party offer on car.

I started working again after some time unemployed in January this year - should I be informing the OR even though I am discharged?

Thank you

As you haven't got an IPA there is no need to inform the OR

Only when the last tree has died, the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realise that we cannot eat money.

32 IPA payments made, 4 to go - the end is in sight!

Hi,

I really think it is a bit misleading when you are discharged but have an IPA. You still have to have contact with the OR and tell them of any increase in pay, whereas if you are discharged without an IPA, then that is the end of it and you can move on. I know certain restrictions are lifted after you become discharged but to be honest most of these wouldn't affect anyone anyway. Even after discharge, you are still faced with the same difficulties as when you were bankrupt (ie. bad credit rating which doesn't improve for a further 6 years). Not sure why they don't just say bankruptcy lasts for 6 years instead.
